The importer carries out or arranges the calculations, analysis, testing or examination needed for its duty, or ensures they have been carried out; gives adequate information to each person it provides the item to about its purposes, the results of the tests (including hazardous properties of substances) and the conditions needed for safe use and the listed activities; and on request gives current relevant information, so far as reasonably practicable, to anyone who carries out or is to carry out those activities.
