The designer carries out, or arranges, the calculations, analysis, testing or examination needed to meet the design duty. It gives adequate information to each person provided with the design to give effect to it about each purpose for which it was designed, the results of those calculations and tests (including hazardous properties of a substance identified by testing), and any conditions needed for it to be without risks in use and across the listed activities. On request it gives current relevant information on those matters, so far as reasonably practicable, to anyone who carries out or is to carry out those activities.
