Australia Spam Act 2003
Schedule 2: Consent and its withdrawal – Australia Spam Act 2003

Australia Spam Act 2003 sch2-c6: Sch 2 cl 6 Stop commercial messages within 5 business days of an unsubscribe request

When a consenting account-holder, or someone using the account, tells the authorising individual or organisation that no further commercial messages are wanted at that address, or says something to similar effect, the consent is withdrawn at the end of 5 business days beginning on the day an electronic request was sent (for a posted request, the day service was effected; otherwise the day it was delivered). Business days exclude weekends and public holidays in the place the request was sent to or delivered. Any commercial message sent after that point is unsolicited under s 16(1). The request can arrive by any channel, not only the unsubscribe link, and covers all commercial messages from that sender to that address.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 2 controls across 2 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
