After-hours care often carries fees patients do not expect. The service tells patients, when they book or before the consultation, what fees apply and what Medicare or other rebates cover, and displays or supplies its fee schedule. When referring a patient for pathology, imaging or other services the service lets the patient know those providers may charge their own fees.
