Core Standard 1 Communication and patient participation – Australia RACGP Standards for After-hours and Medical Deputising Services (5th edition)

Australia RACGP Standards for After-hours and Medical Deputising Services (5th edition) C1.1: Service information: patients can find current details of the service, at minimum its contact information, consulting hours and area served, the billing approach, how to give feedback or complain, and how personal health information is handled

What does C1.1 require?

Patients contacting a service at night need its practical facts quickly. The service makes current information available, by phone message, website and printed material, covering at least its contact details, the hours it operates and the area it covers, the practitioners who work for it, its billing principles, how patients can give feedback or raise a complaint, and how it manages personal health information. The information is kept accurate as arrangements change.
