Australia Poisons Standard (SUSMP) s56: Record every Schedule 7 supply (supplier and purchaser, order and supply dates, poison name, quantity and proof of any required purchase authorisation) and keep the records for 5 years

What does s56 require?

Whenever a Schedule 7 poison is supplied, a record must be kept of the supplier's and purchaser's names and addresses, the order and supply dates, the approved or trade name, the quantity, and, where the purchaser's jurisdiction requires authorisation to buy it, proof that the purchaser holds that authorisation; the records are retained for 5 years or more. Record keeping for Schedule 2, 3, 4 and 8 supply is set by State and Territory law.
