Some award clauses let the standard approach be departed from by agreement, and the table in clause 7.2 says who must agree. With the employees: early start (15.3), rostered day off alternatives under 15.5(e)(ii) and 15.5(f)(ii). With the majority of employees: other ways of arranging ordinary hours and RDOs (15.4) and lengthening meal breaks (16.2). With an individual employee: the fewer than 15 employees exception (15.5(c)), working through a meal break (22.3), time off instead of overtime pay (22.6), annual leave in advance (24.5), cashing out annual leave (24.6) and public holiday substitution (29.2, 29.3). The employer must obtain agreement from the right group before relying on any of these.
