Australia PGPA Finance Minister Delegations to Accountable Authorities and the Finance Secretary NCE-S1-P10-value: Gifts of relevant property, valuation: obtain a reasonable estimate of market value before authorising a gift, or where that is not possible assign a notional value and record how it was set

What does NCE-S1-P10-value require?

The delegate must not use the section 66 gifting power until a reasonable estimate of the property's market value has been obtained. If no estimate can be obtained, the delegate assigns a notional value using judgment and must record the basis on which that value was determined. The Finance Secretary delegation carries the same direction (8.3).
