Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Plant Facility (Version 3.2) C23: Escape or loss outside the facility

What does C23 require?

If GMOs or viable GM plant material escape, are unintentionally released, spill, leak or are lost outside the facility, (a) efforts to find or recover the GMOs and return them to containment or make them non-viable must start as soon as reasonably practicable, and (b) the Regulator must be told about the incident as soon as practicable.
