Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Plant Facility (Version 3.2) C14: Decontaminate before disposal

What does C14 require?

Before disposal, GMOs, viable GM plant material, any waste that contains GMOs and non-GMOs with GMOs in them must be decontaminated, unless the disposal method itself decontaminates them. The note says that where appropriate, looking at the containers may be enough to confirm whether decontamination is needed (for instance for macroscopic GMOs that can be seen with the naked eye).
