Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Plant Facility (Version 3.2) B30: Fitting backflow prevention after a review

What does B30 require?

If a review concludes backflow prevention is needed, measures suited to the risks of the GMOs proposed to be handled must be put in place. The note cites AS/NZS 3500.1 for preventing contamination of drinking water and for selecting and installing backflow devices. This sits under the Part B heading for dealings with GM micro-organisms, so it applies in addition to the other conditions when any dealing in the facility involves them.
