At least once every 12 months a person with the necessary knowledge and skills, gained through training, qualifications, experience or a mix of these, must inspect the facility against the General conditions and the Facility and fittings conditions. The inspection must produce a report recording how far the facility complies; the latest three years of reports must be kept and given to the Regulator on request. The note says the OGTR publishes a checklist that may be used for this, that using it is not mandatory, and that reports should not be sent in unless asked for.
