Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Laboratory (Version 3.2) B10: Work not allowed in a PC2 laboratory

What does B10 require?

Unless the Regulator agrees in writing, the facility must not be used for: dealings with GMOs that a licence or legislation says need containment above PC2; housing, keeping or rearing animals, invertebrates or aquatic organisms beyond the shortest time needed to finish the laboratory procedures on them; housing, keeping or rearing plants beyond that shortest time, except plants kept in tissue culture, or held inside a plant growth cabinet or some other containment device that the Regulator has approved in writing (the text can be read as requiring written approval for the growth cabinet as well); producing over 25 litres of GMO liquid culture in any single vessel; or any other work the Regulator has prohibited in writing.
