Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Invertebrate Facility (Version 3.1) C27: Identifying GM invertebrates and material

What does C27 require?

Each GM invertebrate, each invertebrate carrying GM micro-organisms, and any other GM material has to be recognisable as a GMO, which labelling the containers can achieve. Where it cannot be told whether something is GM or not, it has to be handled as a GMO under these requirements. The guideline notes labelling helps keep GM and non-GM work apart and improves control of GMOs inside the facility.
