Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Invertebrate Facility (Version 3.1) C11: Protective clothing and gloves for GM micro-organism dealings

What does C11 require?

Staff whose dealings there involve GM micro-organisms must wear (a) protective clothing that covers the arms and the front of the body (the guideline says a gown fastening at the back is preferable) and (b) disposable gloves when working with GM viral vectors or with GMOs that fall into Risk Group 2 under AS/NZS 2243.3. The guideline also suggests considering suitable eye protection.
