Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Invertebrate Facility (Version 3.1) C2: Non-GMO, exempt and PC1 work in the facility

What does C2 require?

People who work there with non-GMOs, on exempt dealings, or on dealings that a PC1 facility could host must also follow Part C, unless (a) there are procedures that keep that work from being cross-contaminated by PC2 GMO dealings, (b) those procedures are written down, and (c) the primary container and any secondary container used to take an organism out are free of GMO contamination before they leave. Where those three conditions are met, dealings suitable for PC1 may follow either Part C or the PC1 certification guidelines. The guideline suggests separation by place or by time, with contaminated surfaces decontaminated before work on a different organism, as ways to prevent cross-contamination.
