Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Constant Temperature Room (Version 2.1) C1: Non-GMO, exempt and PC1 work in the room

What does C1 require?

People working in the room on non-GMOs, on exempt dealings or on dealings that a PC1 facility could host must also follow Part C unless (a) procedures are in place so that such work is not cross-contaminated by GMO dealings needing PC2 containment, (b) those procedures are written down, and (c) the outer container in which any organism is carried out of the room is free of GMO contamination before it leaves. Where (a) to (c) are met, dealings suitable for PC1 may follow either Part C or the PC1 facility certification guidelines. The guideline suggests separating the work physically, or working at different times and decontaminating any contaminated surfaces before moving to a different organism, as ways to prevent cross-contamination.
