Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Aquatic Facility (Version 3.1) A16: Smooth, water-proof, cleanable and resistant surfaces (GM micro-organism dealings)

What does A16 require?

Where planned dealings involve GM micro-organisms, surfaces in the facility have to be smooth, not let water through, be easy to clean and stand up to the cleaning and decontaminating agents to be used there. This covers (a) walls, floors (bunding included), doors, windows and benches; (b) furniture, seating included; and (c) any other surface likely to be contaminated or that will need decontaminating.
