Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) C30: Hand decontamination on leaving

What does C30 require?

Applies only where dealings involve GM micro-organisms (and must be covered in behavioural training). Anyone who has been working on GMO procedures in the facility has to decontaminate their hands before leaving. The guideline notes that soap and water may be enough where appropriate, that basins with hand-turned taps are not acceptable because the taps readily spread contamination, and that soap and other decontaminants should come from hands-free dispensers.
