Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) C11: Decontaminate animals and waste before disposal

What does C11 require?

GM animals, animals carrying GMOs and any waste that contains GMOs have to be decontaminated before disposal, unless the disposal method itself decontaminates them. The guideline notes that, where appropriate, looking at the containers may confirm whether decontamination is needed, for example with GMOs large enough to see.
