Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) C29: Removing and treating contaminated protective equipment

What does C29 require?

Applies only where dealings involve GM micro-organisms (and must be covered in behavioural training). Protective equipment contaminated, or suspected of contamination, with GM micro-organisms has to come off as soon as practicable and be decontaminated before it is reused or thrown away. Protective clothing not contaminated with GM micro-organisms may go through ordinary laundry. Gloves must be thrown away after use and before leaving the facility.
