Applies only where dealings involve GM micro-organisms (and must be covered in behavioural training). Staff carrying out dealings there that involve GM micro-organisms must wear (a) protective clothing that covers the arms and the front of the body (the guideline says a gown fastening at the back is preferable), and (b) disposable gloves when handling GM viral vectors, or any GM micro-organisms classed as Risk Group 2 under AS/NZS 2243.3. The guideline also suggests considering suitable eye protection.
