Australia OGTR Guidelines for Certification of a PC2 Animal Facility (Version 3.2) A10: Containment of aerosols

What does A10 require?

This item applies only where a planned dealing will use GM micro-organisms. Where any planned dealing with GM micro-organisms would produce aerosols that carry Risk Group 2 GM micro-organisms, a biological safety cabinet must be present, or some other equipment for containing aerosols that the Regulator has approved in writing. A Class I or Class II cabinet has to be installed to the requirements of AS 2252.4.
