Australia NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators m1-9: Module 1 cl 9 Complex wound management

Applies to a provider registered for high intensity daily personal activities whose certificate of registration lists this support (and s 13C of the Rules bars providing a Schedule 2 support not listed). Each participant needing it receives appropriate complex wound management, including how the regime affects showering, toileting and mobility, proportionate to their needs. Indicators: the participant is involved in assessing and developing their plan; with consent their health is reviewed regularly by an appropriately qualified health practitioner; the plan sets out how risks, incidents and emergencies are managed and escalated; policies, procedures and a worker training plan exist; every worker supporting the participant is trained for that participant's specific needs against the high intensity support skills descriptor by a qualified health practitioner or a person meeting the descriptor.
