Roles and responsibilities must be clearly defined and understood and support effective decision-making and operation of the service; induction and position descriptions include the duty to keep children safe. The Guide links s 163 (appointment and engagement of staff), s 164A (education and care of children by unqualified or uncertified persons) and s 174A (family day care educator to notify certain information).
