Australia National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) s158LA: s 158LA Mortgage brokers: act in the best interests of the consumer

A licensee that is a mortgage broker, when giving credit assistance about a credit contract secured by a mortgage over residential property, must act in the best interests of the consumer in relation to that assistance; a credit representative has the same duty (s 158LE).
