Access must be provided to sanitary drainage components needing maintenance, replacement or clearing of blockages, and the system must be ventilated to avoid foul air accumulating and to avoid hydraulic imbalance (less than a 1 per cent peak hour likelihood of trap seal pressure exceeding 375 pascals either way, or equivalent safety). Deemed-to-Satisfy is AS/NZS 3500.2.
