Australia National Construction Code 2025 Volume Three (Plumbing Code of Australia) C1P5: C1P5 Ventilate sanitary plumbing to prevent hydraulic imbalance

Ventilation must be provided so that there is less than a 1 per cent likelihood in the peak hour that discharge from any fixture takes air pressure at any trap seal beyond 375 pascals above or below atmospheric, or an equivalent level of safety is achieved; vacuum drainage systems are exempt. Verification Methods C1V1 and C1V2 size sanitary plumbing from probable simultaneous flowrates and discharge unit values. Deemed-to-Satisfy is AS/NZS 3500.2.
