Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals
Foreword, scope and chapter 1: what an SDS is, who must prepare it and when – Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals

Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals 1.2-provide: Give the current SDS to any person likely to be affected by the chemical who asks for it, and limit changes to the SDS to the manufacturer or importer (others may only attach a marked translation)

What does 1.2-provide require?

The manufacturer or importer must supply the current SDS to any person who could be affected by the chemical and requests it, unless it has not made or imported the chemical in the past five years. Only the manufacturer or importer may change an SDS, and only consistently with its own duties. Any other business may alter an SDS solely by attaching a translation, and the attachment must say plainly that it does not form part of the original.
