Each Portfolio is responsible for its own compliance with the IPP under the devolved procurement framework. This includes reporting contracts and purchases with Indigenous enterprises to the NIAA through the IPPRS at least bi-annually; ensuring procuring officials and contract managers understand their obligations, including making tenderers aware of the IPP requirements and negotiating MMR targets into contracts consistent with the policy intent; monitoring the IPPRS so that contracts identified by data matching with AusTender are appropriately classified, including the application of any MMR exemption in accordance with the policy; ensuring contract managers monitor and manage supplier performance against the MMR through the IPPRS; and ensuring suppliers report their MMR performance through the IPPRS and that the data is accurate and complete. Suppliers for their part are responsible for accurate and complete quarterly MMR reporting as their contracts require.
