Australia Food Standards Code Standard 1.2.2 Information Requirements Food Identification 1.2.2-3: Show lot identification, except for stated cases

A requirement to state lot identification does not apply to an individual portion of ice cream or ice confection, or to a food in a small package that is stored or displayed for sale in a bulk package or container whose labelling carries the lot identification. In all other cases the lot identification must be on the label.
