Australia Food Standards Code Standard 1.2.10 Information Requirements Characterising Ingredients and Components of Food 1.2.10-8: Express the declaration as a percentage, rounded and placed correctly

The proportion is declared as a percentage (or as the average quantity per serving and per unit quantity in a nutrition information panel); in a statement of ingredients the percentage must follow the ingredient name immediately; it may be rounded to the nearest whole number, or the nearest 0.5 below 5 per cent; and it is the actual percentage, a minimum percentage (clearly shown as a minimum) or the average quantity. For a food that must be reconstituted the percentage may be of the reconstituted food if that is clearly indicated.
