Australia Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)
Part 2-2 Divisions 8 to 10A: Community service leave, long service leave, public holidays, superannuation – Australia Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth)

Australia Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) s108-111: ss 108 to 112 Community service leave, and jury service pay for the first 10 days

An employee may be absent for an eligible community service activity (jury service, voluntary emergency management activities with a recognised emergency management body, or a prescribed activity) for the time engaged, reasonable travel and rest, and, except for jury service, where the absence is reasonable; the employee gives notice as soon as practicable and evidence on request. For non-casual employees on jury service the employer pays the base rate for ordinary hours for the first 10 days per summons, less any jury service pay received (evidence of which the employer may require). More beneficial State and Territory laws are preserved (s 112).
