From Year 2 the entity discloses how it carried out climate scenario analysis within its climate risk and opportunity assessment, using an approach (qualitative or quantitative) commensurate with its circumstances and at least two plausible and distinct scenarios: a low warming scenario aligned with the Climate Change Act 2022 (1.5 degrees) and a higher warming scenario of 2.5 degrees or more. It discloses how and when the analysis was done, the key inputs (the scenarios and their sources, the time horizons, the scope of operations such as locations and divisions), the key assumptions (climate policies in the relevant jurisdictions including more ambitious state and territory targets, macroeconomic trends, national or regional variables such as weather, demographics, land use and infrastructure, energy use and mix, technology developments) and the reporting period in which the analysis was performed.
