Australia AMC Standards for Assessment and Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs (2023)
Standard 2 Curriculum – Australia AMC Standards for Assessment and Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs (2023)

Australia AMC Standards for Assessment and Accreditation of Primary Medical Programs (2023) 2.1: Medical program outcomes and structure: graduate outcomes consistent with the AMC graduate outcome statements, with a safe transition to supervised internship, and with the needs of the communities served including groups experiencing health inequities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Maori communities; and students achieving assessment outcomes with equitable access to learning and supervision of comparable quality in every learning context, supported by appropriate resources

What does 2.1 require?

The program's own outcomes must line up with the national ones and with local need. What the provider says its graduates will be able to do must match the AMC graduate outcome statements, must equip them to move safely into supervised practice as interns in either country, and must answer the needs of the communities the provider serves, among them groups facing health inequity and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Maori communities. Wherever students learn, in metropolitan hospitals, rural sites or community settings, they get learning and supervision of the same quality, with the resources each environment needs, so that they achieve the assessment outcomes regardless of context.
