AS9100D - Aerospace Quality Management System 8.3.5: Design and development outputs

What does 8.3.5 require?

Design and development outputs satisfy the input requirements, are good enough for the later stages of provision, contain or point to the monitoring, measuring and acceptance criteria, and specify the characteristics essential to the intended purpose and to safe and correct provision. Under 9100 they also specify any critical items, key characteristics included, and the particular actions those items need, and are approved by authorized people before release. 9100 further requires a definition of the data needed to identify, make, verify, use and maintain the product, such as drawings, parts lists, specifications, material and process data, technical data and repair schemes. Records of the outputs are kept.
