Measures must protect personnel from potential hazards, and anyone who receives a shock or is injured in an electrical incident should get medical attention immediately (effects may be delayed, and injured people should be transported by others; Appendix C covers shock response). Incident scenes must be preserved so the cause can be determined and secured for safety; legislation may require preservation for the regulator.
