Section 5: Storage and toilet facilities – AS 4674-2004 Design, Construction and Fit-out of Food Premises

AS 4674-2004 Design, Construction and Fit-out of Food Premises 5.2.1: 5.2.1 Toilet facilities: general

Sanitary facilities meet the Building Code of Australia. Toilet cubicles on the premises are either separated by a ventilated intervening space with self-closing doors from any area used to handle, display or store open food, or have self-closing doors and a mechanical exhaust that runs during use and keeps running for 30 seconds or more once the cubicle is empty. The Standard advises staff toilets on the premises and separate customer toilets with handwashing facilities meeting Clause 4.4.
