AMIC Industry Animal Welfare Standard for Livestock Processing Establishments 5.1.1-5.1.2: 5.1.1-5.1.2 Enough competent personnel and named welfare responsibilities

The establishment has enough people to meet the Standard, shows that those who handle, stun, slaughter or monitor welfare hold the Annex B competencies, and tells each person what they are responsible for. Responsibilities for welfare are allocated, naming at each site the people responsible for welfare (the stun, the stick, emergency kills and humane destruction), for the daily application of the Standard, and for welfare monitoring including checks on stunning and sticking effectiveness.
