AMIC Industry Animal Welfare Standard for Livestock Processing Establishments 4.3.3: 4.3.3 Nonconformities, correction and corrective action

When a welfare nonconformity arises the establishment corrects it, finds its cause and how to stop it recurring, takes corrective action and checks that the action worked, and changes the management system where needed. Corrective action is proportionate to the effect of the nonconformity, and records show what went wrong, what was done and what resulted.
