Aged Care Infection Prevention and Control Guide (2024) r-process: Manage infection risk with a four-step, tailored process

Infection risk is managed in four steps: identify the hazard, assess the risk of harm, control the risk and review the controls, tailored to the local context. Work health and safety law expects aged care employers to have systems to identify hazards and assess and control risks to older people, carers, family, visitors and the workforce so far as reasonably practicable.
