ACCS 1:2025 Certification Scheme for Age Assurance Systems and Components
Clause 7: Selection and specification of testing – ACCS 1:2025 Certification Scheme for Age Assurance Systems and Components

ACCS 1:2025 Certification Scheme for Age Assurance Systems and Components 7.9-7.10: Weigh external test results by accreditation and keep responsibility for outsourced testing with the conformity assessment body

What does 7.9-7.10 require?

Clients may submit external test results produced under recognised standards (ISO/IEC 19795 and 30107, ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119, IEEE 2089.1) that meet Clause 7; the conformity assessment body assesses their credibility, independence and relevance under the Clause 5.9 policy, giving substantial weight to testing by a body accredited by an ILAC, IAF or EA member within scope and deciding whether confirmatory testing is needed where testing fell outside the accreditation scope or came from a laboratory without accreditation. The body may outsource testing to approved laboratories that demonstrate competence in the relevant standards and operate to recognised management principles (ISO/IEC 17025 or 17065), retains full responsibility for the certification decision, conducts all outsourced testing under the scheme's authority and monitors the laboratories' continued competence and impartiality.
