Precondition (mandatory for certification). Regularly occupied spaces are thermally acceptable to most people: mechanically conditioned spaces hold PMV within plus or minus 0.5 for 90% of occupied hours in 90% of spaces, naturally conditioned spaces meet adaptive comfort bands, and mixed-mode spaces meet both, verified by performance testing, by long-term sensor data (including a 21 to 25 C dry-bulb band) or by thermal comfort survey points; commercial kitchens stay at or below 27 C operative temperature; and temperature, humidity, air speed where relevant and radiant temperature are measured twice yearly (summer and winter) with annual reporting, or continuously monitored. Parts: Provide Acceptable Thermal Environment; Measure Thermal Parameters.
