Precondition (mandatory for certification). Regularly occupied spaces receive indoor light exposure through one route: daylight simulation (for example spatial daylight autonomy of 150 lux for 50% of hours over more than 30% of area, or the EN 17037 equivalent, with higher targets for shared common spaces), interior layout (30% of occupied area within 6 m of glazing, or common seating near glazing), building design (glazing at least 7% of floor area, or narrow glazed floor plates without high obstructions near windows) or meeting the circadian lighting threshold; dwelling units and guest rooms have their own simulation, glazing or circadian routes. Parts: Provide Indoor Light.
