Policy MP 0193/25: purpose, applicability, requirements and compliance monitoring – WA Health Artificial Intelligence Policy MP 0193/25 and Standard

WA Health Artificial Intelligence Policy MP 0193/25 and Standard 4: Compliance monitoring: complete the annual Artificial Intelligence Audit Compliance Tool supplied by the Digital Health Unit, reporting compliance with the policy and standard, breaches and system governance, and submit it to the System Manager; provide local education and awareness strategies on request; act on the audit report that follows; and cooperate with System Manager audits or assessments at any time, including requests for information on digital security controls

What does 4 require?

The Digital Health Unit, on behalf of the System Manager, monitors compliance through an Artificial Intelligence Audit Compliance Tool that requires WA health entities to report annually and submit details of compliance with the policy and standard, breaches and system governance. Entities must complete the annual tool, which the Digital Health Unit provides, and submit it to the System Manager by email, with results reviewed for assurance and collated for trend analysis; they must provide copies of related local education and awareness strategies on request; and after the annual monitoring they receive an audit report from the Digital Health Unit. The System Manager may audit at any time and may assess or audit where a non-compliance issue is identified, and may request additional information on any digital security control matter to confirm alignment with policy requirements.
