Before the owners corporation contracts with a supplier with whom the manager has a beneficial relationship (the manager, an associate, a body corporate the manager or an associate is a member of, or a corporation they control), the manager must disclose the relationship in writing to the chairperson or the committee. Before a contract under which the manager will receive a commission, payment or other benefit from a third party is entered into, the manager must disclose the benefit in writing to the chairperson, and the owners corporation must be told the amount or value where known. Non-disclosure is an offence and the manager must account for undisclosed benefits.
