Consistent with Executive Order 14179 and applicable law, agencies buy American and make the most use they can of AI products and services built and produced domestically. Under Circular A-130 they set policies, processes and contract terms that keep acquisitions and contractor use of AI handling personally identifiable information compliant with privacy law and policy, and give the Senior Agency Official for Privacy early and ongoing involvement, from pre-solicitation planning and requirements definition onward, in any AI acquisition or contractor use involving PII.
