US Electronic Communications Privacy Act Title I (Wiretap Act, 18 USC 2510-2523) 2511(1)(e): 2511(1)(e) Do not disclose lawfully intercepted investigation material to obstruct a criminal investigation

No person may intentionally disclose, or try to disclose, the contents of a communication intercepted under the law enforcement authorities of the chapter, knowing it was obtained in connection with a criminal investigation, having received it in that connection, and intending improperly to obstruct, impede or interfere with a duly authorized criminal investigation.
