An economic operator established in the Union may apply for AEO status (customs simplifications, security and safety, or both), recognised in all Member States, by meeting: no serious or repeated infringements of customs and tax rules and no serious criminal offences linked to its business; a high level of control of operations and flow of goods through commercial and transport records; financial solvency; for AEOC, practical standards of competence or professional qualifications; for AEOS, appropriate security and safety standards for the supply chain (physical integrity and access control, logistics, specific goods, personnel and business partner identification). Holders keep meeting the criteria and report changes.
