Paragraph 7.2: Requirements for the Cyber Security Management System – UNECE WP.29 R155

UNECE WP.29 R155 7.2.2.4: Monitoring is continual, covers registered vehicles and uses vehicle data and logs

What does 7.2.2.4 require?

The CSMS processes ensure that the monitoring of 7.2.2.2(g) is continual, (a) includes vehicles after first registration and (b) includes the capability to analyse and detect threats, vulnerabilities and attacks from vehicle data and vehicle logs, respecting the scope paragraph on data access and privacy law and the privacy rights of owners and drivers, particularly consent (the consolidated text still cites paragraph 1.3, although Supplement 3 renumbered that privacy paragraph 1.2 and 1.3 is now the replacement-parts paragraph). The Interpretation Document adds that monitoring uses the information from the vehicle measures of 7.3.7 with other sources such as social media, and points to ISO/SAE 21434 8.3 to 8.5.
